Use this screen to view year-to-date general ledger information and budget information entered on the Manage Organization/Account Budgets screen. You can compare the ledger information to your year-to-date budget data, if any, and to the prior year's year-to-date balances. This screen also displays the variance between your actual and budgeted data.
To display data in the table window, click on the table window toolbar and enter selection criteria. You can then use the Period subtask to drill down to specific period information with similar budget comparisons. From there, you can use the Posting, Transactions, and Labor subtasks to drill down even deeper.
Only transactions posted before the most recent execution of the Create General Ledger Report Tables process are included in the data available in this screen. To ensure that you are viewing the most current information, post all transactions and run the Create General Ledger Report Tables process before you use this screen.
To display information for a specific fiscal year, enter, or click to select, that fiscal year before you execute the inquiry. To display information for a range of fiscal years, use Query to specify that range. If you do not specify a fiscal year, the information displayed potentially includes all fiscal years that have general ledger activity.
To display information for a specific account, enter, or click to select, that account number before executing the inquiry. To display information for a range of accounts, use Query to specify that range. If you do not specify an account, the information displayed potentially includes all accounts.
To display information for a specific organization, enter, or click to select, that organization code before executing the inquiry. To display information for a range of organizations, use Query to specify that range. If you do not specify an organization, the information displayed potentially includes all organizations.
This field displays the total year-to-date balance for records displayed in the table window.
This non-editable column displays the fiscal year for the general ledger information. (If you specified a fiscal year in your selection criteria, all rows are for the same fiscal year and this column does not display.)
These non-editable columns display the number and name of the account. (If you specified an account in your selection criteria, all rows are for the same account and this column does not display.)
These non-editable columns display the code and name of the organization. (If you specified an organization in your selection criteria, all rows are for the same organization and this column does not display.)
This non-editable column displays the year-to-date general ledger balance, in your company's functional currency, for the combination of fiscal year, account, and organization.
This non-editable column displays the total budgeted amount year-to-date for the combination of fiscal year, account, and organization. You specify budget amounts on the Manage Organization/Account Budgets screen.
This non-editable column displays the variance between the actual year-to-date general ledger balance and the budgeted year-to-date amount.
This non-editable column displays the year-to-date general ledger balance for the prior fiscal year for the combination of fiscal year, account, and organization.
This non-editable column displays the last date that the Create General Ledger Report Tables process was run for the combination of fiscal year, account, and organization. That date is the last date that this information was updated for viewing in this inquiry. To see more recent data, you must run the Create General Ledger Report Tables process.
