CONFIGURE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION SETTINGS

In the Configure Affirmative Action Settings screen, you can establish high-level choices for operating Costpoint Affirmative Action. In this screen you can select your default affirmative action plan, select the method to track employment history, and select the word processing package for your affirmative action plan documents.

Enter this information as part of your initial Costpoint Human Resources setup. If you use one affirmative action plan exclusively or frequently, then return to this screen after you set up your affirmative action plan codes and choose that plan code as a default. This will save time in setting up employees and using this particular affirmative action plan.

Default Affirmative Action Plan

Use this drop-down list to establish a default affirmative action plan for your company. This plan code must be established on the Manage Affirmative Action Plans screen.

Employment History Method

Select one of two options in this group box to determine the method of tracking employment history in Costpoint Affirmative Action.

Basic Employee Information

Select this option if you want employment to be determined by the Current Hire, Adj Hire, and Termination dates on the Manage Employee Information screen. If you select this option, all Affirmative Action reports will use the dates on the Manage Employee Information screen to determine whether an employee was hired/termed/employed during a certain period of time or a specific date.

Employee Salary Information

Select this option if you want employment to be determined by the Effective Date is Hire Date and Effective Date is Term Date check boxes in the HR Info tab of the Manage Employee Salary Information screen. If you select this option, all Affirmative Action reports will use the dates on the Manage Employee Salary Information screen to determine whether an employee was hired/termed/employed during a certain period of time or a specific date.

EEO Setup

EEO Reporting Form

Use the options in this group box to define which Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reporting requirements are needed for your company. The EEO-1 Report option is the default for this screen.

EEO-1 Report

Select this option if you will be printing the EEO-1 Report from Costpoint Affirmative Action.

EEO-4 Report

Select this option if you will be printing the EEO-4 Report from Costpoint Affirmative Action.

This group box displays the valid EEO codes and descriptions for EEO-1 reporting.

These codes and descriptions are maintained through a system table and display here for your use. Use them to establish your Functional Job Titles table. This group box includes the following codes:
