Standard system benefit types are limited to LIFE (Life Insurance), HEALTH (Health Insurance), VISION (Vision Insurance), DENTAL (Dental Insurance), and DIS (Disability Insurance).
You can use the codes that you define on this screen for internal tracking. Although the codes are assigned to a benefit plan, their use is informational only and they will not be validated internally by the system.
You should enter all of the benefit type codes you plan to use before going to the Manage Benefit Plans. However, you can add to this table at any time, and you can establish an unlimited number of records.
