MANAGE ACCIDENT PROCESSING STEPS

Use this screen to define the internal procedure to be followed when recording and reporting work-related injuries and illnesses. This table contains the codes and related descriptions for each step that must be followed when recording and reporting work-related injuries/illnesses. You can then further define the processing steps by selecting whether they are required by workers' compensation, OSHA, both, or none.

At a minimum, you must enter all of the accident-processing steps and descriptions that are required by workers' compensation and OSHA before going to the next screen. You can add to this table any time and establish an unlimited number of codes and descriptions.

Accident Step Code

Click and enter a code to identify the accident step. This code is user-defined and it is a required field. For example, you might associate "Step 1" with the description "Submit WC claim form."

Description

Enter a description of the processing step. This is a required field.
