MANAGE COMPANY VEHICLES

Use this screen to set up company vehicles. After entering information for a vehicle, you can then assign it to the employee responsible for the vehicle, if applicable.

Establish this table at any time.

Location

Identification

Use the fields in this block to uniquely identify a vehicle.

Vehicle ID

Enter an ID to uniquely identify this vehicle. This is a required field.

Serial Number

Enter the serial number of this vehicle. This is a required field.

Make

Enter the make of this vehicle. This is a required field.

Model

Enter the model of this vehicle. This is a required field.

Year

Enter the four-digit year of the vehicle in this required field.

Date Purchased

Enter the date this vehicle was purchased by your company. The format for dates is MM/DD/YYYY. This is a required field.

Date Sold/Disposed

Enter the date on which this vehicle was disposed of or sold. The format for dates is MM/DD/YYYY. This is an optional field.

If you enter a date for selling or disposing of the vehicle, a warning displays if the vehicle is assigned to an employee.

Registration State/Province

Enter, or use to select, the two-character state code for the state/province in which this vehicle is registered. This is a required field.

Registration County

Enter the county in which this vehicle is registered. This is a required field.

License Number

Enter the license number of this vehicle, including dashes. This is a required field.

License Expiration Date

Enter the date on which this vehicle's license expires. The system format for dates is MM/DD/YYYY. This is a required field.

Vehicle Status

Use these columns to enter additional status information, such as data about the maintenance and location of the vehicle.

Location

Click and enter the location of this vehicle. This location is user-defined and is not validated against any tables in Costpoint. This is a required field.

Status

Enter the status of this vehicle. Some examples include Active, Out - Transmission Repair and Out for Body Work. This optional field is user-defined and is not validated against any table in Costpoint.

Status Date

Enter the date relating to the Status information for this line. The format for dates is MM/DD/YYYY. This is an optional field, unless you made an entry in the Status field.

Inspection Expiration Date

Enter the date on which this vehicle's inspection will expire, if applicable. The format for dates is MM/DD/YYYY. This is an optional field.

Emission Expiration Date

Enter the date on which this vehicle's emissions inspection expire, if applicable. The format for dates is MM/DD/YYYY. This is an optional field.

Notes

Enter any additional notes about this vehicle, if desired.
