MANAGE DETAIL JOB TITLES

Use this screen to establish job titles at the detail level within your organization. This table is required.

Enter this information after you have set up the Manage Functional Job Titles screen.

If you do not want to use detail job titles, you can fulfill the requirement to make an entry in this screen by copying over functional data from the Manage Functional Job Titles screen.

Location

Click on the toolbar to add a new Detail Job Title entry. Then click on the toolbar to save all the entered data.

Detail Job Title Code

Enter a unique code to identify this detail job title. An example of a detail job title is Lighting Engineer and a code of LIGHTENG.

Detail Job Description

Enter a description for the Detail Job Title Code. This description defaults in the External Job Title field if the external job title is not provided.

Functional Job Title

Enter, or click to select, the functional job title code to be associated with this detail job title. You must initialize functional job titles before you can enter them in this field. Costpoint performs validation against the Functional Job Title table.

Functional Job Description

Displays the description for the code you entered in the Functional Job Title field.

Corporate Officer

Select this check box if the Detail Job Title Code is a corporate officer.

Job Duties Qualify for FLSA Exemption

From the drop-down list, select if the job title duties qualification for Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption. Valid options are:

• Yes — Select this if the detail job title's duties qualify an employee for FLSA exemption.

• No — Select this if the detail job title's duties do not qualify an employee for FLSA exemption.

• Not Applicable — Select this if you do not want to validate FLSA eligibility using an employee's job duties.

If you assign a value of No to an employee's detail job title, but that employee is flagged as FLSA exempt (the FLSA Exempt option is selected on the Manage Employee Salary Information screen), Costpoint displays a warning message on the Manage Employee Salary Information and Import Employee Data applications. If you assign a value of Yes to an employee's Detail Job Title and that employee's eligibility for FLSA exemption is determined by salary amount and rate type, but he is flagged as FLSA Non-Exempt (the FLSA Exempt option cleared in the Manage Employee Salary Information screen), Costpoint displays a warning message in the Manage Employee Salary Information and the Import Employee Data applications.

External Job Title

Enter the external job title that will be used in SilkRoad.

Export to SilkRoad

Select this check box to flag this detail job title code for export to SilkRoad. If you select this check box, the Transfer SilkRoad Data screen process will include this detail job code when exporting detail job titles to SilkRoad. If you use SilkRoad and you clear this check box, you will not be able to approve a Position Requisition for this Detail Job Title. This check box is available only if you use SilkRoad.
