MANAGE ASSIGNMENT OF EMPLOYEES TO CREWS

Use this screen to define crew information. In this screen, you can create a user-defined crew ID and associate that ID with an effective date, a crew chief, and crew employees. To access this screen, you must have selected the Enable Union Functionality check box on the Configure Labor Settings screen.

Use this screen as part of your initial crew setup or whenever a crew changes.

To set up a crew assignment:

  1. Enter a Crew ID to identify the crew.

  2. In the Name field, enter a description of the crew.

  3. Enter the Effective Date.

  4. In the Crew Chief field, enter, or click to select, the ID of the employee who will assume the position of crew chief. The names, IDs, and local ID of the employees that are eligible to join the crew are automatically displayed in the Employees table.

  5. In the Employees table, select the employees that you want to assign to the crew.

  6. Click Select to move the selected employees to the Selected Employees table. To remove an employee from the Crew column, select that employee, then click Delete to mark the row for deletion.

  7. Click to save the new crew assignment.

Location

Identification

Crew ID

Enter the crew ID you want to assign to this crew. You can enter a maximum of six alphanumeric characters in this required field.

Name

Enter this crew ID. This is a required field.

Effective Date

Enter the crew's effective date. This is a required field.

Crew Information

Crew Chief

Enter, or click to select, the ID of the employee assigned as crew chief. The crew chief must be an active union employee. This is a required field.

The crew chief's name defaults into the field to the right when you enter the crew chief ID.

Autoload Employees

Click this button to load the Employees table with all employees eligible for this crew.

Employees

Employees shown in this table have the same union ID as the assigned crew chief, who is also listed in this table. To select employees for inclusion in the crew, highlight any row that must be included, then click Select.

Employee

This column displays the employee ID for all employees who are eligible for this crew.

Employee Name

This column displays the employee name for all employees who are eligible for this crew.

Labor Location

This column displays the labor location for all employees who are eligible for this crew.

Select

Click this button to move the highlighted rows to the Selected Employees table.

Selected Employees

This table displays employees included in the crew. To remove employees, highlight any row that must be eliminated from the Crew table, and then click Delete to mark the row for deletion.

Employee

This column displays the crew employee ID of the employees selected for this crew.

Employee Name

This column displays the name of the employees selected for this crew.
