LINK PROJECTS/ORGANIZATIONS

Use this screen to enter combinations using project/organization wildcards for charging by your projects. If you selected the Which Orgs Can Charge Specific Accts check box on the Basic Info tab of the Manage Project User Flow screen, the project/organization combination must exist in the project/organization wildcards before the transaction can be used. If the combination does not exist, the transaction cannot be used. If you did not select the Which Orgs Can Charge Specific Accts check box on the Basic Info tab of the Manage Project User Flow screen, any organization can charge the project.

You can maintain this table using wildcards. Wildcards not only provide for a quicker initial setup but also ease maintenance when new branches are added to existing projects or organizations. For example, if you enter a project of "1000" as 1000%, this means any lower levels of this project, such as "1000.001," that are added later to Costpoint, are automatically included in this table.

In this screen, you can view the combinations to the level you desire or to receive a count on the combinations that have been created. New combinations are not available for use until this screen is saved.

Use this screen after you have entered your projects and organizations and want to limit which organizations can charge a given project. You must use this screen any time a new project or organization has been entered into Costpoint that is not included in the wildcard strings.

For more information on project/account/organization validations, please see "Project/Account/Organization Validations."
