MANAGE USER-DEFINED INFORMATION

Use this screen to enter data in the user-defined fields for a given project. The labels that appear for each type of user-defined field are first set up on the Manage User-Defined Labels screen.

The information entered on this screen is optional and can be set up at any time.

This screen is also available as a subtask on the Manage Project User Flow screen: User-Defined Info.

Location

Identification

Project

Enter, or click to select, a valid project for which to enter data. This is a required field. The project name displays to the right of this field.

User-Defined Info

Data Type

This non-editable field displays the data type that was defined on the Enter/Manage User-Defined Labels screen. The options are:

Labels

This non-editable field displays the labels created for this project on the Enter/Manage User-Defined Labels screen.

Text Value

The value, if any, selected for this text label is displayed in this column.

Numeric Value

The value, if any, selected for this numeric label is displayed in this column.

Date Value

The value, if any, selected for this date label is displayed in this column.

Costpoint Validation Field

This column displays the Costpoint field that is the source for acceptable entries into this row.

Validated Text

This column displays a Y (Yes) if special text items were created for this row in the Validated Text table on the Enter/Manage User-Defined Labels screen.

These items are available in . An N (No) in this column indicates no special items were created for this row.

Required

This column displays a Y (Yes) if this item is required for each project and an N (No) if this item is not required for each project.
