Use this toolkit to check and/or rebuild the LN_PROJ_SEG_IDs in the PROJ table for a project or a range of projects. The top level of each project ID along with each project's level numbers and lengths is stored in the PROJ_LVL table. Each project's individual levels and segment IDs, among other information, are stored in the PROJ table. If your company has uploaded this information into your database, you need to run this toolkit to ensure the PROJ_SEG_IDs in PROJ are at the correct level and length as stored in the PROJ_LVL table.
The toolkit contains two different processes: one compares the two tables and one rebuilds the LN_PROJ_SEG_IDs in PROJ. If no discrepancies are found in the check process, the rebuild process is not necessary.
Use this group box to compare the project levels in PROJ_LVL to the project ID lengths in PROJ to verify that the LN_PROJ_SEG_ID carry the correct substring of the project ID. Before running this process, you must specify in the Project Range group box whether you want to check all projects or just one. Click the Execute button in this group box to start the check process. Any discrepancies are displayed in the table window and written to the Z_PJPTOOL_PRJ_ERRS table. We recommend that you discuss any discrepancies with Costpoint Technical Support before proceeding with the rebuild process.
Click this button to execute the check process.
This table window displays any discrepancies found when you click the Execute button in the Check the Project ID and Line Project Segments IDs group box.
Use this group box to compare the PROJ_LVL table to the PROJ table. This group box allows you to display only the problem project numbers.
Use this drop-down list to select a project range for this toolkit. Note that if you select the One option, the toolkit does not process any projects below the project level entered. Valid options are:
All — Select this option to process all projects.
One — Select this option to process one project.
If you select the One option in the Project Range group box, enter the project in this field. Click to view a list of projects.
Click this button to start the rebuild process.
