Use this application to enter state minimum wage amounts and the effective date of each. Costpoint uses this information when determining disposable income for any wage garnishment where the state mandates that the withholding limit is based on a multiple of the state minimum wage.
You must set up the states only if their minimum wage differs from the federal minimum wage. You can choose either federal or state minimum wage in each garnishment type subtask on the Manage Employee Garnishments screen.
You must populate this screen before computing an employee garnishment deduction on the Compute Payroll screen.
Enter, or click to select, the state for which you want to enter state minimum wage information. The non-editable field to the right displays the state's name. You can click
to select a previously saved record.
To enter a new row, click .
Enter, or click to select, the effective date of the state's minimum hourly wage.
Enter the state's minimum hourly wage amount as of the specified Effective Date.
