CONFIGURE ESS GLOBAL SETTINGS

Use this screen to change specific global settings, such as login availability and Personal Identification Number (PIN) options. 

Set up this screen when initializing Employee Self Service (ESS). Also update this screen when you need to change the contents of the ESS 3.1 Employee Directory.

This field displays the version of ESS to which you have access.

Employee Directory Settings

Column 1 — Column 6

From these drop-down lists, select the six fields to display in the ESS 3.1 Employee Directory screen. Valid options are:

• Employee Name

• Title

• Org Name

• Org ID

• Work Phone

• Work Email

• Labor Location

• GLC

• Employee Class

• Full/Part Time

• GLC Description

• Manager Name

Only the first two drop-down lists require selection. These drop-down lists are enabled only if you are using ESS 3.1.

You must select the Employee Name option to save the ESS Global Settings record.

  How can I set up a user to have administrator rights in ESS?

  To give an employee administrative rights to ESS, perform the following steps:

  1. On the Manage Employee Information screen, click and select the employee ID.

  2. On the Employee Info tab, click in the Class of Service field and select Administrator (All Modules).

  3. Save the record.
