The Project Manufacturing features integrate with Costpoint Shop Floor Time (SFT) and Costpoint Manufacturing Execution (MES), which allows you to:
Export manufacturing orders
Export manufacturing order routing schedule date changes
Export updates to specified fields in previously exported manufacturing orders
Export manufacturing order status changes
Import (from MES to Costpoint) any changes made to work order routings and components required for those operations
Import (from MES to Costpoint) work orders for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) services, as well as associated work orders for reworking discrepancies associated with the MRO orders
Five Material Requirements Planning applications have been modified to support Project Manufacturing:
Manage MRP Action Messages — New logic has been added to:
Update MO_ROUTING.ROUTING_CHNG_DTT if change is made to any of the following fields:
MO Routing Planned Start Date (MO_ROUTING.PLND_START_DT)
MO Routing Planned Completion Date (MO_ROUTING.DUE_DT)
Update a new field (MO_HDR.SCHED_CHNG_DTT) if change is made to any of the following fields:
MO Planned Shop Date (MO_HDR.PLND_SHOP_DT)
MO Due Date (MO_HDR.DUE_DT)
Update a new field (MO_ROUTING.SCHED_CHNG_DTT) if change is made to any of the following fields:
MO Routing Planned Start Date (MO_ROUTING.PLND_START_DT)
MO Routing Planned Completion Date (MO_ROUTING.DUE_DT)
Update MO_HDR.STD_CHNG_DTT whenever a change occurs to the following fields:
MO Build Qty (MO_HDR.BUILD_QTY)
MO Default Build-To Inventory Abbreviation (MO_HDR.BLD_INVT_ABBRV_CD)
MO Project (MO_HDR.BLD_PROJ_ID)
MO Order Reference (MO_HDR.ORD_REF_ID)
MO Lot ID (MO_SERIAL_LOT.LOT_ID)
MO Serial ID (MO_SERIAL_LOT.SERIAL_ID)
Update the new field (MO_HDR.STATUS_CHNG_DTT) when MO Status is changed to ‘C’losed.
Firm Material Requirements Planning Planned Orders — New logic has been added to create MO routing components and MO requirement routings whenever MO routings and MO requirements are generated for a manufacturing order.
This additional logic only applies if the Use Operationalized Bills of Material check box has been selected on the Configure Routing Settings OR
If MO_HDR.MES_FL is equal to Y. A new logic has been added for new MOs to default the flags for exporting the MO to MES or SFT (MO_HDR.MES_FL or MO_HDR.SFT_FL) based on default flags set up in the inventory project (INVT_PROJ.MES_FL or INVT_PROJ.SFT_FL) corresponding to the MO’s build-to project (MO_HDR.PROJ_ID).
If a primary routing exists for the build part/rev, but with ROUTING_HDR.MES_FL that is equal to N, and INVT_PROJ.MES_FL is equal to Y (for the build inv abbrev project), any MO routing (or MO routing components) will not be created for the MO. This is to be consistent with the form validation in the Manage Manufacturing Orders application where an MO that is to be exported to MES (MO_HDR.MES_FL = Y) must have a routing that originated in MES.
Update Material Requirements Planning — An existing logic has been modified when creating SCHED_RECPT rows. Any Manufacturing Orders with a S_MO_TYPE_CD that is equal to ‘M’ or ‘D’ will not be included as supply.
Manage Detailed Part Schedule and View Summary Part Availability— An existing logic has been modified when identifying available supply. The manufacturing orders with a S_MO_TYPE_CD equal to ‘M’ or ‘D’ will be excluded. On the Manufacturing Order Demand screen, the description for M/D types of Manufacturing Orders will be displayed.
