MANAGE INTERFACE ELEMENTS

Use this screen to exclude specific elements from being transferred to the target system for inserts and/or updates. The data initialization process for each integration package includes preloading the list of elements for which this feature is supported. You can then select those elements that you want excluded from the integration process for a given object and instance.

You must first define an individual instance or instances for the integration packages installed at your site (see Manage Interface Configuration and Scheduler for additional information). You can then use this screen to add or edit a set of elements to be excluded for each object being processed in the selected interface and instance. The set of excluded elements becomes a part of the existing object instance.

The Interface ID, Instance ID, and Object ID fields serve as the identifier for the set of elements to be excluded. When you create a new set, you must enter or look up all three fields to completely identify the interface, instance, and object for which the exclusions are being defined. You must associate the exclusions with an existing interface instance.

Interface ID

Use this field to enter, or click binoculars.gif to select, the interface ID associate with the object you want to process. The interface IDs available for selection are pre-defined in Costpoint depending on the integration packages installed at your site for which elements may be excluded.

Select CP7X_VSWS if you are running the integration using Capture Management Web Services. If you are using this method, run the integration using the Transfer GovWin Capture Management Data screen.

Instance ID

Use this field to enter, or click binoculars.gif to select, the instance ID associated with the object you want to process as set up in the Manage Interface Configuration and Scheduler screen.

Object ID

Use this field to enter, or click binoculars.gif to select, an object ID for the elements to be excluded. The object IDs available for selection are pre-defined in Costpoint depending on the integration packages installed at your site for which elements may be excluded.

Load Elements

Click this button to load the interface elements associated with this Interface ID, Instance ID, and Object ID combination.

Elements

This table window displays a list of available elements for this object.

Element

This field displays the identification code for this element.

Allow Exclude on Insert

This field displays Y if you can exclude this field from processing when new rows are created in the target table from the source. Otherwise, this field displays N.

Allow Exclude on Update

This field displays Y if you can exclude this field from processing when rows are updated in the target table from the source. Otherwise, this field displays N.

Select

Click this button to add the selected element in the Elements table window to the Selected Elements table window.

Selected Elements

This table window displays the list of elements you selected from the Elements table window.

Element

This field displays the identification code for this element.

Exclude on Insert

Use this field to enter Y to exclude this element for new records. Otherwise, leave the value to N. This field is enabled only when the Allow Exclude on Insert displays Y.

Exclude on Update

Use this field to enter Y to exclude this element for existing records. Otherwise, leave the value to N. This field is enabled only when the Allow Exclude on Update displays Y.

Allow Exclude on Insert

This field displays Y if you can exclude this field from processing when new rows are created in the target table from the source. Otherwise, this field displays N.

Allow Exclude on Update

This field displays Y of you can exclude this field from processing when rows are updated in the target table from the source. Otherwise, this field displays N.
