Use this subtask to edit the paid costs eligible for progress payments. The changes you make on this subtask affect the amount on line 11 when you click the Recalculate button.
After you modify the billing lines, incorporate the modifications into the bill by using the Recalculate button. This process brings the modifications into the main screen and modifies the affected bill lines.
You can modify the Billing Amount, Write Off Amount, Hold Amount, Write Off Description, and Hold Reason Description. Exercise caution when changing a billing amount. If billing amounts are modified here, the inception to date incurred costs do not match the billed amounts. The best method of correcting billing amounts is to adjust the transaction in the original source journal. Note that you cannot modify the Write Off Amount and Hold Amount fields of subcontractor delivery invoices included on line 9. Because these transactions are obtained from the Manage Subcontractor Progress Payments screen, it is not possible to distinguish a partial transaction. If a subcontractor transaction for line 9 needs to be placed "On Hold," you can accomplish this by modifying the Accepted check box on the Manage Subcontractor Progress Payments screen. If a subcontractor invoice does not have the Accepted check box selected on the Manage Subcontractor Progress Payments screen, it is excluded from billing calculations.
