Use this screen to assign a Project Labor Category (PLC) to a specific project. You must have set up the PLC on the Manage Project Labor Categories (PLC) screen before you can assign it here.
If you assign a PLC to a project in this screen, you can enter project billing rates for that PLC on the following screens: Link Project Labor Category Rates to Projects, Link PLC Rates to Employee/Vendor screen, or the Billing Rates subtask of the Manage Project Labor Categories (PLC) screen. After you use this screen to assign PLCs to a project, no other PLCs are valid for charging to the project.

Enter, or click to select, a valid project for which to enter data. This is a required field. The level of the project entered here depends on where the charging activity occurs. Generally, we recommend that you set up the PLCs at the charging level of the project. If you selected the Use Top Level Work Force check box on the Basic Info tab of the Manage Project User Flow, enter the top level of the project here.

Enter a Cobra mapping value. Cobra mapping values are used by the Cobra Interface to link Costpoint labor categories to Cobra labor categories. If you select the Project Labor Category Cobra UDEF option in the Costpoint Labor Mapping group box on the Manage Cobra Budget Element Templates screen, you can enter a user-defined value in this field and use it to link to a value in the Cobra system. You generally use this field if there is a value in Cobra that is not easily linked to anything in Costpoint. For more information on the Cobra Interface process, see the screen documentation.
