Use this screen to define cases of pairs of applications that would cause segregation of duties conflicts if Costpoint users had access to both. This screen allows the administrator responsible for controlling the segregation of duties to ensure that users do not inadvertently or maliciously have inappropriate access to conflicting applications.
Use this screen whenever you need to set up or maintain segregation of duties for employees who may have access to conflicting applications.
You can categorize application conflicts using the Manage Segregation of Duties Conflict Types screen.
This screen has two main table windows that display identical listings of all available applications within Costpoint. Use these two table windows to select a pair of applications that would cause segregation of duties conflicts.
Select an application from the left table window and then select a conflicting application from the right table window. You can then click Select to add this combination of applications to the Conflicting Applications table window and set up conflict definitions for these applications.
Click this button to add the selected combination of conflicting applications you selected in the main table windows to the Conflicting Applications table window.
This table window displays all applications that cause segregation of duties conflicts. Use this table window to set up definitions for these conflicting applications.
This field displays the identification code for this application. You can click in this field to select a different application for this record.
This field displays the descriptive name for this Application. Alternatively, you can click in this field, instead of the Application field to select a different application for this record.
Use this drop-down list box to define the level of access for the selected application that will cause a conflict. Your options are:
All — Select this option if read and/or update rights will cause a conflict.
Update — Select this option if only update rights (including add, modify and delete) will cause a conflict.
This field displays the identification code for the application conflicting with the application specified in the Application field. You can click in this field to select a different application for this record.
This field displays the descriptive name for this Conflicting Application. Alternatively, you can click in this field, instead of the Conflicting Application field to select a different application for this record.
Use this drop-down list box to define the level of access for the selected application that will cause a conflict. Your options are:
All — Select this option if read and/or update rights will cause a conflict.
Update — Select this option if only update rights (including add, modify and delete) will cause a conflict.
Use this field to enter a brief description of this segregation of duties conflict.
Select this check box to actively test for this application conflict. The Identify Segregation of Duties Conflicts process ignores inactive application conflicts.
