Use the Deltek Resource Planning integration applications in Costpoint to establish parameter records that will be used to export existing employee, organization, and project from Costpoint into Resource Planning. Note that the active company will be stored with the parameters. These parameters will be used to filter data in the actual integration processes as appropriate.
Export parameters refer to the criteria that you define in order to limit the integration process to a specific range of data. For example, if you only need to transfer the Basic Information of employees to Resource Planning, you will need to go to the Configure Employee Options screen in Costpoint and perform the following:
On the Options tab, select the Basic Information check box in the Employee Information group box and select other applicable settings for the employee basic information data that you want to process.
On the Selection tab, specify the range of employee data that you want to transfer by using the Option, Start, and End fields for Employee information.
Deltek Resource Planning Integration applications consist of the following screens which you can access by going to Administration » System Administration » System Administration Interfaces.
Use the Transfer Resource Planning Data screen to import/export code tables, organization, employee, project, and project data from Costpoint to Resource Planning. From this screen, you can select which objects to include in the integration process.
Use the Configure Employee Options screen to define export parameters for employee information. The integration process will use these parameters to download this information from Costpoint into Resource Planning. General employee information is established on the Manage Employee Information screen in Costpoint People.
Use the Configure Organization Options screen to define export parameters for organization information. The integration process will use these parameters to download this information from Costpoint into Resource Planning. Organization information is maintained in the applications in the Organizations menu in Costpoint General Ledger.
Use the Configure Project Options screen to define export parameters for project information. The integration process will use these parameters to download this information from Costpoint into Resource Planning. General project information is established on the Manage Project User Flow screen in Costpoint Projects where you can also assign an owning Organization and project type to each project record.
