If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and would like to use the job template as a position requisition, use this tab to fill out the requisition details, the position information, and the desired date for filling that position. You can also view the approval information of the requisition on this tab. If you are not licensed for Costpoint Human Resources, the fields in this tab will be disabled.
To use this Job Template screen for position requisitions, perform the following steps:
On the Manage Users screen, verify that the employee ID of each approver is linked to a Costpoint user ID.
On the Manage Position Requisition Approvers screen, set up a list of approvers for the position requisitions.
On the Manage Job Templates screen, enter the requirements for the new job positions.
On the Approve Position Requisitions screen, the requisition approvers approve the job templates.
Note that you must be licensed for Human Resources in order to complete these steps.
If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and are using this screen to track position requisitions, enter, or click to select, the employee ID of the person initiating this requisition.
If you are not using Costpoint Human Resources, this field is not editable.
If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and are using this screen to track position requisitions, enter, or click to select, the date on which the position was requested.
If you are not using Costpoint Human Resources, this field is not editable.
If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and are using this screen to track position requisitions, enter, or click to select, the date on which you wish to fill the position.
If you are not using Costpoint Human Resources, this field is not editable.
If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and are using this screen to track position requisitions, use this group box to enter the type of position being requested and the desired date for filling that position. You can also specify whether this position is being requested because of a vacancy, or whether a new position is being created within the organization.
If you are not using Costpoint Human Resources, these options are not editable.
Select this option if the position you are filling is available because of a vacancy.
Select this option if you are filling a newly created position.
If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and are using this screen to track position requisitions, use this group box to enter comments regarding the new or vacant position to be filled.
If you are not using Costpoint Human Resources, this field is not editable.
If you are licensed for Costpoint Human Resources and the job template record represents a position requisition, use this group box to view the status and approval of the job template. Requisition Approvers are specified in the Manage Position Requisition Approvers screen. Requisitions may be approved in the Approve Position Requisitions screen.
These group of options identifies the status of the position requisition.
If you selected the Pending option in the Status drop-down list on the Approve Position Requisitions screen, this non-editable option is selected.
If you selected the Approved option in the Status drop-down list on the Approve Position Requisitions screen, this non-editable option is selected. This option is also selected if you select the Auto-Approve Position Requisitions check box on the Configure Personnel Settings screen.
If you selected the Disapproved option in the Status drop-down list on the Approve Position Requisitions screen, this non-editable option is selected.
If you selected the Disapproved option in the Status drop-down list on the Approve Position Requisitions screen, this non-editable option is selected. This option is also automatically selected when an employee is hired for this requisition and the new hire is imported into Costpoint from SilkRoad.
If you have filled in the Approver field for the designated position requisition on the Approve Position Requisitions screen, that approver's employee ID defaults into this non-editable field. If you select the Auto-Approve Position Requisitions check box on the Configure Personnel Settings screen, this field displays the Default Requistion Approver that you set on the Configure Personnel Settings screen.
If you have filled in the Date field for the designated position requisition on the Approve Position Requisitions screen, that date defaults into this non-editable field. If you select the Auto-Approve Position Requisitions check box on the Configure Personnel Settings screen, this field displays the system date.
